The Firecracker Ball
to help Barnardo’s reach out to vulnerable children.

The 2016 Firecracker Ball raised an incredible £285,000 while guests were being entertained in our big top tent with acts including a brass band and various circus artists and All Saints finishing the evening.
The 2015 Firecracker Ball raised an incredible £330,000 in a magical evening with Texas providing the entertainment. The event supported Barnardo’s work with young people leaving care as they move towards independent adulthood.
The 2014 Firecracker Ball raised £207,000, and highlighted Barnardo’s vital work with young carers. Young carers are children and young people who give their time unconditionally to support someone they love and care about, usually a family member.
Guests were entertained at our Willy Wonka themed event by both Lemar and The Kitts Band
In 2013 £215,000 was raised at the ball where Ali Campbell, the voice of UB40 provided the entertainment. The event supported Barnardo’s vital work with children and young people affected by child sexual exploitation.
2012 saw guests entertained by the Casablanca Steps, and Beverley Knight in a stunning 1920s setting. A record breaking £200,000 was raised to support Barnardo’s specialist family support work across Yorkshire.
In 2011 £140,000 was raised for Barnardo’s young carers services across Yorkshire, with Tony Hadley providing the music for the evening.
