Firecracker Ball aims to hit £3m mark at this year's event

One of the standout charity events in the Yorkshire calendar that Source Marketing Communications support as Marketing Partner, the Firecracker Ball, is aiming to reach a target of £3m raised for Barnardo’s since it became its chosen charity in 2002.

The total raised to date is just short of £2.8m, so it needs to attract £200,000 plus at this year’s ball, which is within reach having raised £265,000 last year.

The prestigious black tie event is taking place on Saturday 9th November, 2019 at Rudding Park Hotel and this year’s theme is ‘Four Seasons’ where guests will be transported to a seasonal extravaganza as they enter a bespoke marquee attached to the hotel.

The committee will soon be announcing a huge headline act and other surprises for the hundreds of guests at the black tie event, including high profile celebrity appearances and ‘money can’t buy’ auction prizes.

Kirsty Guy, senior relationship manager, from Barnardo’s said: “The Firecracker Ball is a fabulous opportunity to host clients or friends at a truly memorable event. It’s a must for Yorkshire’s leading corporate businesses and entrepreneurs, with many companies and individuals returning year on year. Tables are selling fast, so the committee are therefore urging people to book as soon as possible to ensure they don’t miss out.”

The funds raised are helping to make sure Barnardo’s  across Yorkshire can continue to offer services to help children flourish, help keep families strong, and help communities to protect and nurture their young people.”

The Firecracker Ball has become the most significant event in the Yorkshire social calendar helping to change the lives of thousands of children and young people across Yorkshire. Since 2002, the ball has raised over £2.8m for Barnardo’s causes. The committee is actively seeking support from individuals and businesses in the region who are interested in sponsorship packages, table bookings or donating auction or other prizes for the charity.
