Spirit of Harrogate, Harrogate Spring Water, Phillip Stoner the jeweller and Beyond Medi Spa at Harvey Nichols in Leeds, are amongst a huge roster of local business offering significant support, worth thousands of pounds, for upcoming charity event The Firecracker Ball, in support of Barnardo’s.

One of the standout charity events in the Yorkshire calendar the Firecracker Ball is taking place at Rudding Park, on Saturday 14th November, and organisers are hoping to reach a target of £2m raised for Barnardo’s since it became its chosen charity in 2002, with support from local business.

Harrogate Spring Water, is donating water for the evening with all profits from the water bought by guests going to the charity, and Spirit of Harrogate is supplying a pop up bar for the reception at the event to serve its Slingsby gin and tonics. The company is also supplying Slingsby Gin and Vodka products to be used in the fundraising games, as well as selling its prestigious Gin at a special price on the night – excusive to Firecracker Ball guests only.

All funds will be donated to Barnardo’s in Yorkshire, which each year helps almost 14,000 children, young people and their families in over 80 specialised projects in local communities. Since 2002 The Firecracker Ball has donated almost 1.7 million pounds.

Other companies supporting the event are Beyond Medi Spa at Harvey Nichols in Leeds, which is offering 10 beauty treatments with a total value of £1,120 for various fundraising games during the evening, whilst jeweller Phillip Stoner is donating a £10,000 certified, 1ct Modern Brilliant Cut Diamond, plus £500 towards having the diamond made into a piece of jewellery at its Leeds workshop.

The Diamond Game will allow guests to buy a pouch for £20, however 499 numbered pouches will be filled with simulated diamonds and one with the real diamond inside. When all the pouches have been sold the pouch that contains the real diamond will be announced.

Kirsty Guy, relationship manager, from Barnardo’s said: “This significant achievement has changed the lives of thousands of children and young people in Yorkshire, helping the most vulnerable children overcome their problems and transform their lives.”

“We are extremely fortunate to have the support of so many local businesses and would like to thank everyone who has helped by donating.”

In addition to the businesses that have donated products and services, huge names from the world of entertainment, business, sport and beyond have united to donate a spectacular collection of exclusive items and once-in-a-lifetime auction prize opportunities.

Sir Richard Branson, Daniel Craig, Bruce Oldfield, Ben De Lisi, Aled Jones, Duran Duran and Sir Alex Ferguson are among the celebrities offering personalised prizes.
